Nathan Ehrenfeld co-founded Beta Petrol with Bryan Ray Turcotte in 2001 as a music supervision, clearance and talent negotiation company, on the theory that people who had actually made records would be better at putting music into brand work than people who had not. Twenty-five years later Beta Petrol is a full-spectrum music services company working out of Los Angeles and New York.

Handcrafted spirits, made with hjerte in California. Nathan Ehrenfeld founded Laurel Canyon Spirits with his wife Tammy and with Bryan and Dayna Turcotte, around a coffee liqueur the Turcottes had been making by hand in their kitchen for two decades. Everything is made from scratch and distilled in California.

Nathan Ehrenfeld started as a classical pianist, switched to guitar in his teens, and spent his early career as a signed and touring musician. He has never stopped recording, which is the reason Beta Petrol exists in the form it does.
Midnights
Midnights is Nathan Ehrenfeld, Mat Baker and Jason Cummings. Ehrenfeld and Baker first played together in the Los Angeles band Agnes Gooch, through the nineties and into the early aughts, and then barely spoke for twenty years. The name is the hour: midnights were when Ehrenfeld had time to write, and where many of these songs started. The single “The Turnaround” arrived in 2025, followed by “Afterthoughts” and the ten-song album Everything Will Be Alright. The new single “Bridges” arrives on 16 October 2026.

Agnes Gooch
A Los Angeles band. Blind was released in 1997 on Revolution / Giant Records, with Nathan Ehrenfeld on guitar and keys, Mat Baker on vocals and guitar, Johnny Lonley on bass and Scott Bushkin on drums. Now I See followed in 2005, with Chris Cano on drums, produced by Nathan Ehrenfeld and Michael Blue.

Candyland
An instrumental record, released in 2000 between the two incarnations of Agnes Gooch. Nathan Ehrenfeld on guitar and keys, Jon Pikus on drums, Matt Neth on guitar, and Bryan Turcotte — who would co-found Beta Petrol with Ehrenfeld the following year — on bass.
